Pastor Harley Wheeler has been a United Methodist
Pastor since 1989. He and his wife Mary have
seven children whom they home-school. Pastor
Harley and Mary have served Thompson Church since June of 2000. Pastor Harley enjoys opening the scriptures in
sermon and Bible Studies to show how Christs Sacrifice on the cross is for the
believers salvation from the guilt of sin. Pastor
Harley preaches the Wesleyan theme of holiness of heart and life. We can be saved from sin
so that we are not ruled by it or chained to our past ways of living. We are also called by God to seek healing through
prayer, do acts of charity, witness our faith, and raise our families to be believers in
Jesus. Pastor Harley is part of Renewal groups within the United Methodist Church including the East Ohio
Evangelical Fellowship, Good News, the Confessing Movement, and Lifewatch (a pro-life
caucus). Pastor Harley welcomes invitations to
call on shut-ins, the sick, and those in need of prayer.
