Reverend Thomas Gruver |
|
Tom Gruver became the pastor of the Thompson United Methodist Church on July 1, 2011. He is an ordained minister in the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. Pastor Tom is originally from May Port, Pennsylvania (Western PA). Pastor Tom accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of 17. He felt called to pastoral ministry at the age of 21. He is a graduate of Warner Southern College and Asbury Theological Seminary. He was ordained with The Church of God (general offices in Anderson, Indiana) in 1989. He is in his 12th year with The East Ohio Conference. His previous appointment was the Senecaville Charge in the Southern Hills District. Pastor Tom preaches life application sermons from the Bible. For the past 8 years he has been involved with men’s ministries such as “Promise Keepers” in the local church. His hobbies are wood working, traditional archery and hunting. Pastor Tom and his wife Gale have been married for 21 years and are pleased to be living and serving in Thompson.
